THIRTY-SEVEN WEEKS!!!!!!!

Take delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. - Psalm 37:4

This verse has stuck with me throughout my pregnancy and I thought it fitting that I would be reminded so poignantly of it this week.  Like most people, I used to read that Scripture as "Love God and He'll give you what you want."  That is, until a pastor friend of ours twisted my way of thinking.  He said that not only does God provide some of the things you want, but because He created you, He placed those desires in your heart.


One of the greatest desires of my heart throughout my life has been to be a mommy.  This week, our little man is full-term and can make his appearance anytime now.  God placed this desire on my heart as he was creating it in my mom's womb and He is seeing it through to fulfillment.  This girl is seriously blessed beyond measure. 

How far along? 37 weeks! We have a full-term baby!
Baby's size: Our doctor is guessing he'll be around 8 pounds when he arrives.
Total weight gain/loss: I'm up 28 pounds.
Stretch marks? I think so, but I can't really tell. The marks I see blend with the marks from the waistband of my pants, but aren't ridged. They're just weird.
Sleep? Outside of getting up for multiple trips to the bathroom, I'm sleeping pretty good. Clay, on the other hand, is not. My weedeater noises are keeping him up. I know he's ready to have his non-snoring, able-to-breathe wife back.
Best moment this week: Finding out that I am making progress and that we may be able to meet Bryson on July 3!
Worst Moment: Finding out that I kept Clay awake for at least 2 hours the other night. Poor thing needs his sleep too!
Cravings: Blackberries and Chinese food
Symptoms: Outside of lower back pain and some Braxton Hicks, nothing too bad.
Miss Anything? Laying on my belly.
Movement: Constant, but his movements are more rolling now. He stretches (or tries to anyway) a lot.
Wedding Rings On or Off? Engagement ring is off and very much missed. I'm still wearing my wedding band though.
Sex: Baby Boy, Bryson Reed!
What is baby up to? Just growing and getting ready to get out!
Labor signs? I am already dilating and effacing, plus I think I've started losing part of my plug. Woo hoo! Come on, little guy! If I am at least 2 cm dilated at our appointment next Tuesday, we can schedule an induction for Tuesday, July 3!!!!!!!
