25 weeks!!

How far along? 25 weeks and 1 day

Baby's size: I wish I knew how big he really is. Since he was bigger than average at our 20 week appointment, I'm totally thrown off. At 25 weeks, the average baby is approximately 1.5 pounds and 13.7 inches from head to toe.

Total weight gain/loss: 17 pounds. I'm allowed 13 more.

Stretch marks? Nope! *knock on wood*

Sleep? I wake up like clockwork around midnight to potty. It's so weird. I'm sleeping pretty good for the most part.

Best moment this week: I had my first true alien baby moment this week. On Monday night, I was laying in bed when his dance party started. My belly was going all over the place- much more than the usual small jabs I get.

Worst Moment: Passing out after my glucose tolerance test. I had roughly 12 minutes left until I had to have my blood drawn the last time I checked the clock. I read for a few more minutes, then realized I was not well. The woman next to me got help and I remember my nurse making it to me, saying I couldn't see her... then waking up on the floor. My doctor said the glucose makes your pancreas go into overdrive, which can make blood sugar levels plummet, causing you to pass out. Hey, at least I passed the test!

Cravings: Pineapple and thanks to a friend, gummy bears.

Symptoms: My headaches are coming back and I'm having a bit more round ligament pain. Well, it could be a foot lodged for all I know. He's all over the place.

Miss Anything? Sleeping on my belly and raw cookie dough.

Movement: Soooooo much and for so long. On Monday, he moved consistently from 4:30 AM until about 7:00 PM, then started up again a little after 8:00. The next day was a 10 hour dance party.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Sometimes I just feel nauseous, but haven't figured out a reason behind it.

Moody: Nope.

Wedding Rings On or Off? On, easily.

Sex: All boy!

What is baby up to? Little man is becoming less little with each passing week. He's developing more and more fat (hey, it's cute in utero and who can resist chubby arms on a baby, so keep growing, kiddo!) and his skin is beginning to smooth out. His spine is beginning to form, as are his capillaries. The air sacs and blood vessels in his lungs are developing so he'll be ready to breathe when he gets here. Finally, his nostrils, which have been plugged up to this point, are beginning to open. If he were to grace us with his presence right now, he would have an 82% chance of surviving with aggressive ICU treatment. Of course, I'd love him to bake AT LEAST another 12 weeks.

One other little fact I think is cute is that he's yawning in there. I love little baby yawns and can't wait to see our little guy do it!
